"Loneliness is a sign you are in desperate need of yourself." -Rupi Kaur
The greatest lesson I've ever learned was that you don't need anyone. I will never be alone because I have myself, and I enjoy my company- that's why self love is so important because once you find love for yourself, it then becomes clear that you are fine on your own. You don't need anyone to make it in life, you can move forward without others. Being accompanied by others is great, it's nice to have someone to talk to and spend time with, but knowing that you don't need them makes it a lot easier if anything happens between you and others. As we live, we will make certain people apart of our daily life, but that doesn't always last, people change; you either grow with them, or outgrow them. The only person you're guaranteed have until the very end is yourself. As humans, we have a few basic needs: food, water, shelter, and clothing. Other humans are not on that list, we don't need anyone to survive. We have to learn to carry ourselves without the help of others. Don't rely on others to always be there for you, or make you happy because it's just the reality that they will not always be able to do so- everyone has their own life to live and their own things to worry about, we have to be able to take care of ourselves. Become your own happiness so that no one else has to be. Let those people who make you happy into your life, but don't expect them to be with you forever, don't make it necessary to have them because you are just fine on your own.
I'm not trying to sound like a debbie downer either, because sometimes we do get lucky and those who we want in our lives forever, really do stay forever, but in a lot of cases we also outgrow those we love, I just want to make it clear that you'll do just fine by yourself. After all, self love is the best love.
